Suisun City Issues Materials Testing & Inspection RFP

SUISUN CITY - The Suisun City Public Works Department has issued a Request for Proposals from consulting firms to provide professional materials testing and inspection services for a federal roadway rehabilitation project.

While the City is seeking proposals for the Sunset Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project (Federal Contract No. ESPL-5032 (022)), the City may expand the scope of services to other federal and non-federal roadway projects in the City.

Bids are due not later than 2 p.m. Thursday Aug. 20, 2009.

The Sunset Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project is located between State Route 12 and Railroad Avenue. In general, the project includes roadway dig-outs, grinding of existing pavement, pavement reinforcing fabric, 2-inch hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay, raising existing surface utility features to grade, replacing traffic signal loop detectors, pavement markings, pedestrian ramps, sidewalk, curb & gutter, and other various items of work. The project is estimated to place 4,000 tons of HMA overlay.
