SUISUN CITY POLICE TO ADMINISTER GRANTThe County of Solano and the Cities of Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, Suisun City, Vallejo and Benicia have been allotted $1,014,930 by the Federal Bureau of Justice Assistance under the 2009 Recovery Act: Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program.
The Suisun City Police Department will act as fiscal agent and administer the grant for each agency, which have developed individual plans to spend the money according to specific local needs. >>Click here for agency-specific information>>
The primary goals for this funding, consistent with the Recovery Act, are to create and retain jobs to support law enforcement programs, stabilize local budgets, and provide supplies and equipment to increase and enhance the capabilities of local law enforcement.
