Suisun City Tops in National Night Out

The 2008 National Night Out rankings are out & Suisun City ranked No. 2 IN CALIFORNIA and N0. 20 IN THE NATION for our terrific community event and neighborhood block parties!

National Night Out is an annual tradition here in Suisun City. On the first Tuesday of August each year, the entire community comes together to unify around the conviction that criminals do not run our neighborhoods - residents do!

A very special thanks to the Suisun City Police Department for organizing this terrific annual event, which is recognized regularly for its high quality and broad public support and participation.

For more information on how to get involved in a Neighborhood Watch where you live, contact Community Services Officer Pam Greenwood at 707-421-7373.

Christmas at the Waterfront

HOLIDAY SEASON KICKS OFF DEC. 6

Ring in the holiday season with "Christmas on the Waterfront" in Suisun City. This day-long festival is the most unique holiday celebration in the region with unique features found nowhere else.

The fun gets underway at 2 p.m. when the Christmas Street Faire opens offering a wide array of unique gifts and delicious food. We have an all new gift-making opportunity for children to make a unique present of their very own for that special relative made possible through a partnership with Home Depot.

Also new this year is the special outdoor skating rink! Bring the family down to the Waterfront District for this truly unique and festive opportunity!

Of course, we'll have the Lighted Boat Parade, Christmas tree lighting, spectacular fireworks, a festive bonfire, haywagon rides, and performances by the Dan O. Root II Elementary Chorus, Armijo High School Jazz Band and Solano Youth Theatre's Teen Touring Company.
